Below I intend making a compilation of some of the hymns that I find remarkable many of which include verses that are no longer found in our hymnbooks.  It is said that 'Methodism was born in song', however, we have great examples of great passionate hymns from other periods of revival, from Martin Luther and others from even earlier movements of the Holy Spirit.
